Embodied Pedagogy Mini-Retreat
đŁ Super Early-Bird Price ends September 1.
đ Calling All Educators! đ
Teaching is beautiful, brave, and often exhausting work. In a profession where we continually give of ourselves, itâs easy to feel stretched thinâour energy scattered, our creativity dulled, our passion dimmed by the constant demands of the school year. This mini-retreat at BLOOM is an invitation to step back, reconnect with yourself, and gather strength for the year ahead.
Join me on Saturday, October 11, from 9:00 am â 1:00 pm for a rejuvenating and creative experience designed to help you reconnect with your body as a balm to burnout and step into the next season grounded and inspired.
This workshop draws inspiration from Jessamyn Stanleyâs Yoke: My Yoga of Self-Acceptance, where she writes:
âPracticing yoga feels like digging an instrument out of myself.â
In teaching, it often feels as if we bring our innermost selves into the classroomâexposed, raw, unfilteredâwhere the truest learning happens. During our time together, youâll have the chance to form and mold your own âinstrumentââa personal artifact that will serve as a symbolic reminder of your most grounded, inspired self. This keepsake will be there to anchor you during those moments in the school year when you feel stuck, adrift, or disconnected from your purpose.
During our time together, we will:
Visualize: Participate in guided exercises that invite mental clarity, focus, and self-awareness.
Journal: Use reflection prompts to explore your thoughts, feelings, and intentions.
Create: Engage in hands-on, imaginative projects that will result in a tangible artifact to take home.
Build Community: Share stories, insights, and laughter in a supportive space with fellow educators.
Delicious, nourishing food will be provided to keep you fueled and cared for throughout the morning.
⨠Spots are limited â reserve yours today and invest in a day that will sustain you for months to come.
